At the start of the day, the team gathered in Bina Putra for a cleaning session. We were split into different groups and were allocated various areas around the school: the classrooms on the first and second floor, as well as the corridors around those locations.
The team demonstrated good teamwork as we worked to clean the area, distributing roles efficiently. When one area was completed, those assigned split up to assist at the remaining spots, and work was started and finished together.

After a quick lunch, the afternoon saw the second session of English lessons and games take place.
For English education, the first session had allowed for us to consolidate responses to different activities as well as a chance to better gauge the difficulty level for the planning of lessons. With that in mind, each group taking the three classes were given the individual autonomy to change the lesson plans as was suitable to maximise interest in and takeaways from the lesson. Activities that had been received positively previously were kept and new activities were added in, such as charades and lessons on English tenses.
The members within each group thought on their feet to amend on the job, and work was split such that while some took charge of the activity, others would encourage the students individually and to help answer any questions. This could be done partially because each group that consisted of its individual members could be trusted to have enough acumen and more importantly, enough heart, which was something to be thankful for.

Games once again consisted of mass games, station games, and a mass dance to Zootopia’s “Try Everything”. The students participated very actively especially during the mass games. At the end of the session the students and team members from English lessons also had the opportunity to join the rest of the students to perform the mass dance together, which was very enjoyable.
During the games session, a light drizzle had started, and the team members had asked the students to go back under the shelter to begin the next activity despite station games only having had one round of rotations. However, our Indonesian friends pointed out that the drizzle had ended where the team members did not notice, and expressed their preference to finish the station games. In the reflections session afterwards, games IC Emily Tan expressed her gratitude that both the students and the team members were able to express their true thoughts and in doing so, communicate as equals.

The day at Bina Putra ended with a photo-taking session, as it would be one of the last activities we would have together with our friends there. After a mass group picture, everyone broke off into groups, taking photos with their newfound friends. As always there was laughter (though perhaps the last time it would take on that resonance and timbre for without even one member present it would differ) that rang throughout the hall, a sentiment that brings to mind a line from the song.
"Look how far you've come, you've filled your heart with love. "
- Try Everything

Dinner was free-and-easy at a popular local mall. This gave the team some time to rest and reflect on the days’ experience, as well as to experience other aspects of life in the city of Jogja.
