About Bina Putra Orphanage
Panti Asuhan Bina Putra (Bina Putra Orphanage) was established in 2007 after the deadly Yogyakarta earthquake in 2006. From this disaster, many children were left orphaned and unable to continue with their studies. Mr Simon Suharyanto and his family thus founded Bina Putra Orphanage to accommodate the needs of these children. The orphanage is funded by private donors and scholarships the children receive.

There are more than 100 children in this orphanage aged 15 to 20 years old, and they originate from various parts of Indonesia such as Jakarta and East Nusa Tenggara.

In order to serve the children in Bina Putra Orphanage, the Moovement team will be conducting an English programme and will be running games for the children. In addition, we will be assisting the orphanage in daily chores such as the cleaning of the orphanage and the maintenance of the orphanage’s livestock and paddy fields. Furthermore, we have raised funds to purchase more cattle that the children will look after in order to instill responsibility in them.
